I do not think it is due to missing lenshood as the light doesn't look that difficult. I do not think it is a dirty lens as that would just reduce the contrast everywhere. I see nothing that looks like a sensor error either. (streaks, blobs, faulty photosites) My guess would be that it is an internal reflection in the lens for some reason. Maybe you could shoot some test shots of a plain black area and see if you can detect a lighter grey area in the shot? Please keep us informed if you find out the cause. 2009/3/22 Lluis Ripoll <luisripoll at telefonica.net> > I've tested the lens on the M3 with TX at 400 ISO, I was veru surprised to > appreciate a certain flare on the center of the negative, aybe it was > simply > that lens was dirty, the lens has no signs of coating deterioration at all, > maybe is a slight reflection of light due to the adaptor adjustement on the > camera, the case is that the first picture could be in my opinion a good > catch but I've can improve it, I would like know your opinions, thanks in > advance. > > http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=8813763 > > http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=8813764 > > http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=8813762 > > http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=8813761 > > http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=8813760 > > Thanks for looking and your comments, > > Saludos cordiales > Lluis > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information > -- Cheers Geoff 'Life's too short for mediocre glass' http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/a/ http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman
