In my defence that Alastair was standing with me when the dealer offered me the 75 Summicron ASPH. about 9 months back. I seem to recall that Alastair said "you should buy that lens, it's a good deal!" Meanwhile the subject MAY possibly have come up while sitting with Brian over delicious food and wine. We put the Summicron 75 on the table next to the Summilux 75 and the compactness of the newer lens is very obvious. We had the same experience with my new Elmar M 24 ASPH next to the Elmarit 24. 2009/3/13 Alastair Firkin <firkin at ncable.net.au> > Glad to hear you had a great time.
