I wish you would snip your messages. There is
nothing at all wrong with Lucas electrics. You
just have to fuss with them all the
time. British automotive engineers designed
their cars to require ten hours of owner
maintenance a month. Us lazy USians refused to
do this, and stupid us, though, to be fair, a '72
Spit is hardly a fine example of the British
motoring tradition. A '72 Vegamatic would have been a better choice.
