Subject: [Leica] Question re SM to M Adapters weird one has SN engraved by Leitz

The lens does not need to predate any lens serial number..... it apparently
is "matched" to the body.....   an older lens to a newer body....  Nothing
inconsistent there.....

Since none of this is written down, we need to keep options open.....

Thought about that but SN on adapter predates M production
