Normally I feel that political commentary on a photography forum is somewhat out of place (but not severely so, because noone has to read beyond the first word or so if they don't choose to) but I felt on this particular unique occasion, and in view of your extremely moving and heartfelt comments, all beautifully expressed and all of which I completely agree with, I am extremely glad that you did decide to hit the Send button. I printed out your initial post on the subject and showed it to several friends, who were very glad to read it.
