On my Nikon I have preset the 5 non-electronic lenses I possess in
order of focal length. It is easy to press the Fn button then scroll
from 1 to 5 while the FL and aperture change on the display to the one
I have fitted.
It is the big thing I would like added to the M8. Those who do not
need it can ignore it, like on a Nikon.
I vote for it.
Only one downside AFAIK.
Leica's objection is apparently that the camera uses vignetting and
colour corrections depending on this information, rather than just
correcting EXIF and flash info (which I think is all that Nikon does).
The error of -not- having it correct is therefore potentially serious.
