I'm quite excited about going and I'm still sorting and posting from out last trip just before Christmas! Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/e http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/ Pick up your camera and make the best photo you can. -----Original Message----- Subject: Re: [Leica] European travel query Geoff, the weather should be very good. I had a great small guide of fold out maps - I don't have it with me at the moment so can't give you a link to it on Amazon - but I ended up using it more than the Rough Guide that I already had. I stayed in the Eastern Berlin district of 'Mitte' at the Hotel Jurine - difficult to forget the name for an English speaker <grin>. They have a web site... <http://www.hotel-jurine.de/_en_index.html> ...but it was cheaper to book via Expedia. I've stayed there twice and I'll stay there the next time I go to Berlin. The only downer was the expensive breakfast, but there was a superb Italian caf? virtually next door. Mitte is quite lively at night. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. Berlin was a surprise hit, I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to. Certainly I'd go there again. Some piccies here... <http://www.steveunsworth.co.uk/PAW_blog/?page_id=22> <http://www.steveunsworth.co.uk/PAW_blog/?page_id=23> Steve On 6/1/09 22:52, "Geoff Hopkinson" <hoppyman@bigpond.net.au> wrote: > A question especially for the EuroLUG folks. > What's the weather like in Berlin and Frankfurt in June? > Must see places that are easy to get to? > Easy to get around by public transport? > how hard would it be to get to Solms? > > I'm just askin' _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
