For me, it was difficult to raise the camera to my eye, focus using the finder as well as the focus-confirmation spot, and then lower the camera and guess where to point it. The camera features gave better contrast for focusing, so it came out sharp. I think I prefer it that way. Yes, I tried it in BW, and it works that way as well, but the camera really stands out in BW.
