Camera Canon 20D 1: Carl Zeiss Tele-Tessar f4/300mm http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DMS/20080816-_MG_8204-Edit.jpg.html 2: Leica Telyt-R 4/250mm http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DMS/20080816-_MG_8226-Edit.jpg.html 3: Novoflex T-Noflexar- 5.6/400mm (The "Bazooka") http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/DMS/20080816-_MG_8240-Edit.jpg.html Manual exposure - it's easy to get it wrong and surprisingly close to daylight exposure - all hand held, ISO 200, 1/125th or 1/250th all wide open, lens barrel leaned against the door frame. I tried a Sigma 8/600mm mirror lens too, but it wobbled too much without a tripod My conclusions: Keep away from any automatic settings Forget the CZ lens for shooting the moon, it's too soft wide open The Leica lens (first version) is too heavy to keep perfectly still, and a little too short The Novoflex is just the thing. I'l must try and find the 600mm head for it Maybe I'll try it with a 2x converter and a tripod next time, and lock the mirror up before shooting. Cheers Douglas Leonard Taupier wrote: > Yup.
