We just got rid of our Macbook owing to severely counterintutive operation frustrating us every time we PC trained folks wanted to do something with it. Macs are cool evidently, you just have to be a substance abuser to work out how to do anything with them! ;-) ;-) The firmware does incorporate a special flashing light in the finder when ever a picture opportunity presents. You can select Auto senorita, -it filters our senors automatically (also known as Lluis mode) AA mode - the camera stays in one spot for 12 hours waiting for the light HCB mode - the camera has a saucy beret and makes terribly exposed files that are far better than you could ever dream. TG -mode -jeesh look at that! Click! DH -mode - the lens grows to 560mm but you have to wrestle bears and be one with the wilderness before the shutter button releases Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/e http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/ Pick up your camera and make the best photo you can. -----Original Message----- Subject: Re: [Leica] M8 firmware 2.002 Will it synch up with iTunes and my podcast feeds now? Phil Forrest Partly to give some more grey hairs to certain LUG members, I have immediately downloaded the update and installed it, 3 days out from my trip to US. There was no smoke or explosive decompression of the M8. It has lens detection and correction for the brand new lens designs, adjustment to the Auto ISO settings and some bug fixes. Don't forget to re-do all of your preferences once you install it ;-) Cheers Geoff _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
