Subject: [Leica] Does Leica actually want to sell cameras?

Yes, it is a Leica issue. First, there is no Leica dealer in Alicante.  
Second, it is irrelevant to compare Leica to Canon or Nikon. They sell  
more cameras in a week than Leica sells in a year. Precisely because  
of that, Leica should treat this type of inquiry better than it has.  
In general, my experience with smaller companies has been that they  
provide better pre-sales service (and often better post-sales service  
too) than the giants. This is one of the ways in which they can  
differentiate themselves.

The information I am after is not available on Leica's web site.
