I have many thousands of Rolleiflex and 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 scanned images in my
Lightroom 2. They average about 15 megabytes per image, though some are
twice that. It works just fine.
The only files for which I've ever gotten a "this file is too big for
Lightroom" error were giant panoramas produced with Photostitch, 300MB and
up.
