If you're going to do a whole roll at one time this is a great time-saver. Since VueScan is really inexpensive, and has a free trial, you might want to give it a shot. Virtually everything that comes from the scanner is manipulated with software after its captured so being able to scan a whole roll of film (if you have the roll-film adaptor for the Nikon) is a real time-saver. You position the first frame then tell it to acquire. You can set if you want multiple passes to reduce noise if you wish.
