I save all adjustments and then re-import them from the hard drive to the home based computer. I've never attempted to merge databases: sounds scary. Stick with the tried and true ;-) --- photo@frozenlight.eu wrote: From: Nathan <photo@frozenlight.eu> To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> Subject: [Leica] Lightroom 2 question - can one merge? Date: Sun, 21 Sep 2008 19:44:18 +0200 Here is the scenario: on Tuesday I drive to Bath with my son, returning to Alicante on Friday. Of course I will take pictures on the way, and on my way home I will have a lot of time to kill, first 4 1/2 hours on the ferry from Poole to Cherbourg, and then a couple of hours at a cheap Etap hotel on the motorway in France. So I want to use some of that time to process my images. I will have my Powerbook G4 with me, running Lightroom 2. Now, the question is: when I get home, I will want to merge the images processed during the trip into my main LR database on my desktop iMac. Can this be done in some reasonable way, or is my only option to export the images with the adjustments embedded to DNG files, and then re-import them on the iMac? In other words, does LR 2 have a facility for merging two LR databases?
