Subject: [Leica] M8.2 shutter cocking question

On the M8.2, the shutter recocks when you release the pressure on the
shutter release evidently (presumably only in single shot mode). The
original M8 with 2.0 firmware does not do this (and there are no selections
for it in the menu). I think that everyone that loaded the new firmware
tried it immediately! Someone at Photokina will be able to enlighten us all
no doubt as well as annoy us by having a picture of themselves with an M8.2
and super-nocti ;-)

Cheers

It says at the Leica site that the shooter can now select the moment to
re-cock the shutter in situations that require discretion; does anyone know
how this works?

The immediate auto-cock in the original version was one of the deal breakers
for me.
