Beginning with the M4-P, I believe, Leica went to steel lugs. ? The straps I'm using now are made up of ocean Kite surfing kevlar line, wrapped five times around the lug and strap. It's a permanent thing and extremely durable, quiet, and won't eat my lugs away. It's permanent, so when I send my camera out to get serviced I have to cut through the my strap (several attempts) with EMT scissors. ? Thanks for asking, G Medina --- On Sat, 8/30/08, H. Is it a permanent or temporary solution? --- On Sat, 8/30/08, G Medina <leicamshooter@yahoo.com> wrote: > From: G Medina <leicamshooter@yahoo.com> > Subject: [Leica] Just received my Black Paint Leica M3 from Rangefinder Restorations!
