My wife and I were having breakfast in Elk City, Oklahoma, on the way back home from a New Mexico photo trip. I looked across the street and there was what appeared to be a church, with lots of hogs parked in front. After breakfast, I walked across and looked -it was indeed a small "church", with pews and congregation, and someone talking from a lectern. The parishioners were all in leathers, lots of ZZ Top beards, pony tails and thousand-yard stares (the front was glass). Instead of a crucifix, there was a Harley logo redone as "Jesus Davidson Christ". At that time, the camera I had with me was an 8x10 field camera and for a few seconds I was torn between a great image and a desire to continue living in one piece. The latter won out.
