They sell a few extra bodies and Leica sell a few lenses to the small number of people who can afford and appreciate them, probably a tiny fraction of a percent of their customers. Canon make more digital SLRs in 3 months than Leica have made cameras in their history (>750,000), that is why they can be so cheap.
