I immediately noticed the news of the Koudelka exhibition of his photos chronicling the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia 40 years ago this week. I hope it makes it to Europe. Speaking of exhibitions, yesterday I want to see one called "Trapped in Ice", I think the original US title was "The Endurance: Shackleton's Legendary Antarctic Expedition". Wonderful pictures taken by the Australian photographer Frank Hurley during the ill-fated expedition in 1914-16. Amazing quality photos, considering the vintage and the conditions under which he developed his film. There was also something refreshing about looking at pictures of snow and icebergs in the middle of the Alicante summer ;-) Nathan Nathan Wajsman Alicante, Spain http://www.frozenlight.eu http://www.greatpix.eu http://www.nathanfoto.com Books: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/search?search=wajsman&x=0&y=0 PICTURE OF THE WEEK: http://www.fotocycle.dk/paws Blog: http://www.fotocycle.dk/blog On Aug 21, 2008, at 11:30 PM, Lottermoser George wrote: > a site > you'll become > lost within > be careful > you may > never leave > > <http://www.luminous-lint.com/app/home/> > > Fond regards, > George > > george@imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com > http://www.imagist.com/blog > http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
