Dr. Kaufman who now owns Leica owns a poker hand of optical companies and the plan is to put them all in the same office mall. Though it may turn out to be quite elegant. Despite lack of caramel corn. There will be a Leica museum and all kinds of stuff. So it will be like in the old days if the camera division has a bad quarter the microscope division might be bullish and it all averages out. We may be in good hands indeed despite the negative approach to the R line. mark@rabinergroup.com Mark William Rabiner > From: Nathan Wajsman <photo@frozenlight.eu> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> > Date: Sat, 16 Aug 2008 23:22:19 +0200 > To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] Good and bad Leica news from Amateur Photographer > Magazine > > The eternal optimist Mark... > > These numbers are truly dismal, especially since sales of M cameras > are now blamed for the decline.
