As I said in my original post, I'm working on an uncalibrated laptop. I'll take a look at the images while keeping your contrast comment in mind when I get home. Just out of curiosity, is your monitor calibrated with any kind of spectrophotometer? I know my older monitor became difficult to keep calibrated. All that said, I'm hopeful the prints are what I envisioned as that's my bottom line. Again, many thanks for looking and taking the time to provide your critique, Best, Bob Bob Adler Palo Alto, CA http://www.raflexions.com ----- Original Message ---- From: Stasys Petravicius <stasys1@cox.net> To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Thursday, August 7, 2008 7:29:58 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] Re: IMG: Rubicon Trail Bob- I just viewed your Tahoe pics- and also showed my wife- she commented that there is not enough contrast- in both color and bw. I thought they were a bit light. Been to Tahoe several times- and I know it is a lot brighter there than here in LA. One of my photo teachers said years ago that there is no contrast here in LA (smog and pollution - like Beiing? I know it is worse there- toured it about 10 years ago). I thought your images were nice landscapes. ps- I use a MAC G4 (6 years old) and have a Viewsonic flat screen monitor.
