I must really commend Adobe on the fact that the existing version of LR (in my case 1.4) and its catalog are not touched during the upgrade, so one can go back to the previous version without any problems, should something go wrong. Both the catalog upgrade and the general use of LR2 is very fast (in my case, on a 2.66 GHz iMac with 4 GB RAM). The one minor annoyance is that in the Library thumbnail view, the total number of images in a collection is not displayed next to the collection name if it contains sub-collections. If you expand the main collection, then you see the number next to the name of each sub-collection, but not the overall total. I hope that gets addressed in a future update. Wade, is there an advantage of running LR2 in 64-bit mode? I did, figuring that it certainly would not hurt. Just curious...
