I have shot IR with both 35mm film and digital with the M8 and various Nikon digital bodies. I never tried medium format IR. I find the M8, in particular, can give very good IR photos close to film. Where I find film to be better is in the apparent depth of the photo. What I don't like about film is the very large grain structure. Maybe I should try a roll in my Rollei.
