Hi Jim,

I think it is a very special lens, the B&W is also very nice, if you are
looking for the vintage style, this lens gives just you are looking for, but
it is very different to a Summitar, or Elmar. Taylor Taylor & Hobson, as you
now was specialised in lenses for cinema, also for great format outstanting
portrait lenses. Thanks to this, I think they had reach a great performance
on the center of the image with a very special effect on the rest of the
image.

What I appreciate on this test is a very special contrast, it gave very
special reds, and performs with a good compromise between sharpnes and
special bokeh, flare is very good for a lens of this age.

The Amotal was made in two versions, the Rigid and the Collapsible, I own
the rigid, I've heard that the collapsible is comparable to the actual
Summicrons, this is really great for a lens of the 50's, but I was not
looking for this, to have this I already have the last to the actual
Summicron, I was looking for this special fingerprint, and I'm happy with
it.

Thanks for looking Jim,

Saludos cordiales
Lluis

Luis,

Very nice. I've heard of the lens but never had the opportunity to try one.
