This time of year the Battle Creek Cypress Swamp is Dry. It's only full of water in the cold weather. The things which look like small stumps with round tops are called knees. They are part of the root system of the Cypress trees. No one is sure exactly what function they serve. Their height shows the average height of the water in the swamp. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Barney/Battlr_Creek.jpg.html Did I get my spelling right? :-) Barney _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
