The second one happening later in california is a very week sequel. Thrown together for popular publishing demand in suspicious circumstances. The First Weston daybook is the single most inspiring work on photography every written by far no contest. I judge a bookstore based on if its got a copy and which edition and in which condition. A bookstore with no Daybook is like a coffee shop with no coffee. A Delicatessen without pickles. (one needs one green vegetables) At least as a source for photography as some bookstores would propose to be. If you were feeling in need of inspiration; You've found yourselves feeling like your photographic interests are at a permanent plateau; Just read the first Weston Daybook, Mexico. You'll be out shooting everything before you're halfway through; And printing them too. And doing showings for your friends. Maybe you'll throw away your light meter and or enlarging timer. But you'll be doing photography maybe for the first time. If you don't; Your a bum. mark@rabinergroup.com Mark William Rabiner > From: eric mac <ericspaw@hotmail.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> > Date: Fri, 20 Jun 2008 13:08:46 -0500 > To: "lug@leica-users.org" <lug@leica-users.org> > Subject: [Leica] Edward Weston daybbooks > > > Edward Weston's Daybooks are not exactly a guide for photography, but an > edited copy of his > his personal journals.
