A few folks you may have heard of like Cezanne, Degas, Matisse, Renoir and Dali! There are quite a number of works by the man himself too. The exhibition opening featured a sand art reproduction of the Guernica painting in an entranceway. The intent was to have it disrupted by the visitor's feet as part of the exhibition. They were nearing completion after several days when a madman, religious fanatic attacked and destroyed the mandala. The monks laughed and cheered his tantrum;^) Ric Carter http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/ricc/ On Jun 16, 2008, at 6:53 PM, Eric Korenman wrote: > got to cover the creation and destruction of a Tibetan Mandala. > www.korenman.com/lr/Mandala > > the first and last shots really hit me the most. > These monks spent 6 days and nights working on this Mandala. > > After a 25 minutes ceremony of unbelievable chanting, they destroyed > it and distributed the blessed sand to onlookers. > > t'was very powerful. > > Eric > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
