You should think in terms of pixel dimensions instead. When I export an image from Lightroom, I simply set the pixel dimensions--for example, if it is for my PAW, I set it to 700 pixels on the long side, for my other web images, 800 pixels. If exporting for a Blurb book, I set the pixel dimensions to the size required (e.g. 2884 by 2471 for a landscape 8x10 book), etc. I do not know and do not care what the dpi is.
