740nm. They are different from the Kodak material, which was rated at
900nm. But for what I plan to do, Rollei or Ilford film will be enough.
In the past when I used an M with IR, I always had a hot spot in the
middle of the negative. It's the reason why I switched to metal
shutters. I could use the camera without dealing with the lens cap
issue.

HIE production has stopped. Maco 820c doesn't work that well. Not
much left to capture infrared with in the film world.
I used to have an M4 body that I pretty much used only for Infrared.
M's are about the best for that, what with the visually opaque
filters, and the lenses generally are better corrected in the
infrared region.
