Strangely enough, synthesizer music comes over better from vinyl too - Thompson Twins, Thomas Dolby, Vangelis, Tonto's Expanding Headband, Beaver and Krause just don't make it on CD. For classical guitar and piano music the ambience reproduction of vinyl is superior by far when compared with the clinical dissection of music heard on many CDs. I think it's the sampling that does it - a digital frequency spectrum can never be totally smooth - just like pixels. Cheers Douglas > It's a very quiet night. Not a soul around.
