I have flavour number one with serial number 275 range (as well as my Elmar 135). And both of these versions pre-date the later one with non-removable head. Now that you have cleared that up, I hope that Claude can find the adaptor he needs. This is just the best construction set you could ever fiddle with! Enjoy your wine. Cheers Hoppy -----Original Message----- Subject: Re: [Leica] (sans objet) OK. Here are my two Tele-Elmars and the odd threading I was talking about. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/hwulff/Stuff/ Note the caption; they should be self explanatory. The odd head has a thread that is very slightly smaller than that of the 135/4.5 Hektor or 135/4 Elmar; it's at about the right distance from the front of the lenshead to work, but it slips just inside the 16472K adapter that's intended for the Elmar and Hektor. It's a fine pitch thread, unlike the coarse thread on the regular Tele-Elmar. The barrel that's thicker for a longer stretch keeps the lenshead from fitting in the OTZFO. The OUAGO, normally intended for the 90/4 Elmar but slightly useable for the 135 Tele-Elmar and 65 Elmar, also is unusable for this old T-E. I could look up the alternate and varying codes and numbers for the adapters, and measure the threads, but I've had a couple of glasses of wine and just don't feel like it right now. Reserva Duoro 2001 V.N. Gaia. Better than adapters. -- * Henning J.
