Tomida san (Kodo) is one of the best Odaiko (big big drum) players in Japan.
We took a workshop from him. He is an average size Japanese guy, meaning my
height and small by western standard, but he stares down the drum like his
equal and plays with an intensity that feels like a hurricane. Best of all,
he is friendly and a wonderful teacher!
