Joseph,

No, I don't know Szell version, but I love how Szell conducts. It's very
nice to find persons we caan talk about all these things, Szell, Barbirolli,
Klemperer... And many others.

Thanks for your advice!
Luis

Luis

It?s the Solti version of No 5 I was referring to - the No 2 by Otto
Klemperer is exemplary

Have you heard the No 4 by George Szell with the Cleveland Orchestra?

Joseph,

I don't know the Solti's version of the No.2, I have two wonderful versions,
one by Sinopoli and the other by Klemperer (&Schwarzkopf) both are
wonderful, on my knowledge of some versions of the No.5 my favourite is by
Barbirolli, it can cut the air you inspire...

Saludos cordiales
Luis

Philippe,

If you like this one you will like "Die Knaben Wunderhon" Fischer-Dieskau &
Schwarkopf, R?clelieder, Eines Fahrenden Gessellen and many others, I
suppose you know Symphony No.2 "Resurrection" is one of my favorites.

It is very nice to see taht on the LUG we have much more on cmmun than
photography, Leicas and... Se?oritas.

Saludos cordiales
Luis

Luis I love the symphonies now (9th is my n? 1 What I said was it took me
time to get "into" his music.
The Kindertoten Lieder" make me cry (E.Scharzkopf I think).

Amiti?s for Metz - with some sunshine inside.
