I am with Sonny and Bob on this one. I am a cellist, not a singer or
vocal coach. He ran into some problems at the end, but so what and
who the hell cares? He sang his guts out. What's striking is that it
was a performance which electrified the audience. I loved it. Just
for fun I think I will forward this clip to some friends of mine who
are professional classical musicians who make their livings
performing and see what they think. It's also interesting how this
thread moved from his performance, which grew out of the time, place,
and situation in which he was singing to playing the victrola. Yeah,
this guy has hours and hours and hours of back breaking work in front
of him. Classical music isn't easy. Not for the performers and not
for the audience. It isn't meant to be. I hope he tries, and I hope
he makes it.

I love music because it deals directly with the major themes of life.
As far as I am concerned the major theme he and the audience dealt
with in his performance was joy and the celebration of life. Good for
him. Good for the audience. He communicated with them, big time.
That's what it is all about.
