You are allowed to express an opinion, though it seemed judgemental. The "Second Line" I think you are referring to, occurs after the mourners leave the cemetery. It is not levity but a joyful celebration that the deceased is in heaven. When my Father passed away, just before they closed the coffin, I poured some Hershey Kisses in there with him for the journey.
