Designed from the ground up "to integrate more seamlessly with digital capture backs". >From my reading the metering system for example of the 6008AF is >particularly sophisticated. I read Paul's article as the innards of the 6008AF minus film transport motor and in new shell. Buy two, send me one and we'll compare notes. The Aussie list price for the Rollei 6008AF AUD $6,570 (body only). No worries, the Hasselblad H3D-39 AUD $53,500 -YIKES! See, Leica M equipment is positively affordable. I just processed a roll of BW from my little Zeiss Ikon Nettar, (AUD $40) it's drying as I type. I can't wait to scan and see how I went. Mmm, hands smelling of stop bath and fixer. "essentially the innards of the 6008AF, but the new camera has been designed from the ground up" If its designed from the ground up it cant be based on another camera can it? That would make it one of those totally original copies wouldn't it? A clone all by its lonesome! If you can put Brownie film in it which it looks like it can it's ok with me. Brownie Flim.
