This was a curious thing for a kid who's parents never went anywhere outside a 50 mile radius. Upon his return a slide show was always to be expected, about 2 hours worth. The only real problem was that he never really went anywhere interesting and always mostly took pictures of cars, motorcycles, and sunsets. As a result I can name the make and model of most sport cars and bikes pre 75. And so the tradition continues but with heavy editing (that sounds dirty). Sometimes the quality of your vacation is positively associated with how little you do. In my case I sat and watched the hills and sky for 10 days with either a beer, Leica, or Zeiss in my hand.
