Being fair to Jim, he has organised the last book and this next entirely on his own (but with LUG approval and enthusiasm) and participation (and any purchase) is completely voluntary. The book is self published and print on demand. It might sell 60 or 60,000 copies! Much of the photography we see on the LUG every day is by people with a variety of cameras who have an interest in Leica equipment. That is the nature of the LUG. The best way to fly the flag is to post beautiful pictures made with your Leica gear. Those waverers who also use OT equipment will see the superiority of the Leica pictures ;-). Obviously people might submit any picture with any supporting info they choose. Many of those submitting last year are known on-line to each other and share the benefits of the LUG community. Translation, we know the true believers and who uses what OT gear. I don't know how they sleep at night ;-) Cheers Hoppy -----Original Message----- Subject: Re: [Leica] Reminder to All--LUG Yearbook 2007 On 08/09/2007, Jim Shulman <jshul@comcast.net> wrote: > Use whatever you want. > Just make sure that you made the images during 2007. > > Jim > > If this is the rule then I may enter something but personally I think it is WRONG!! Would you expect to pick up a Ford brochure and find Dodge pictures in it because "we liked them better"? It is, after all, the LEICA User Group.
