There are still very good restaurants, but generally much modern, I still remember on the old Barceloneta I've more than one time the Rolls Royce of Xavier Cugat (he was catalan on the origin) and the car with the plate XB-01 or something similar. The fish was showed on the streets and the waiters was calling for customers... On the beach there was still fishermans, like these ones I have shot before the Olymppics http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3369444 These people was very friendly, they was cooking and eating fish on winter day on the beach and they have invited me to eat and drink a strong white wine. These was only on 1992...., well, still 15 years and the world change ver fast. Though I havn't been to Barcelonetta for a long time I remember it well as a good place to eat, though it changed radically with the olympics.
