The negs exposure are OK I think. I am processing in dilute XTOL and I have tried from 20% under recommended times to make the negs thinner for scanning. There is a range of exposures with the low light indoors on Neopan 400 to the bright outside sun on Delta 100. My scans are a bit flat which is to make sure I get all of the tone information. I think that I am adjusting the files wrongly in Photoshop when I increase the contrast for a bit more punch. Often the skin-tones seem light, don't they? I'll try again. Cheers Hoppy -----Original Message----- Subject: RE: [Leica] IMG: Hoppy visits Sydney with black and white Fine pictures Hoppy, the only commnet would be that at least on my monitor some ones seems to me to hard in contrast, and IMHO, this is by - either - over exposure or over development. Knowing that you are an experienced phototographer without exposure problems, maybe the reason will be the developping. I've appreciated principally this aspect on the outside pictures, the indoors pictures or the ones with a less contrasted light, are excellent, as your portrait or "Busker in the mall", or your friendly se?orita..., or the tea conversation - I see these ones as perfect exposed or developped -. Luis -----Mensaje original----- Folks, 10 new pictures by Hoppy, one of Hoppy, starting here <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/a/Syd/SJ1.jpg.html> http://tinyurl.com/38zupz a walkaround in central Sydney including lunch at the Belgian Beer Caf?. That is a mini Hoppy tradition that I follow while travelling in Australia. a friendly camera shop staff member who enjoyed looking over my M7. She showed me a neat DSLR and I told her that she would soon be seen by LUG photographers across the world. Some portraits of our very good friends. As usual I?d love to read some comments or critiques. Cheers Hoppy _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
