On N and C you can typically move focus some centimeters/inches before or after the subject and still get the green dot of confirmation on. BTW, a friend of mine has a *istDL with the kit lens which he never used. He bought it out of a temporary interest in photography walked away together with the girlfriend model that inspired it. Any comments on that camera, as I plan to permanently lend it from him as a backup?
