At least this is what I read into your comments on visibility..... I think there is little disagreement over the useability of the 1.25 magnifier.. it is the .8 that seems a bit harder to nail down.... Frank Filippone red735i@earthlink.net OK, I just hauled out my sadly neglected M6. With my specs on and the standard 0.72 viewfinder the 35mm frames are at the extremes of my view without moving my eye around and also coincide with the extreme edges of the viewfinder window, that is to say, outside the 35mm framelines is black. I can only see the 28mm framelines by moving my eye around and, depending on how the framelines are moved by the parallax correction mechanism, the position of some framelines extends beyond the extreme edges of the viewfinder window, that is to say, what I see through the viewfinder is less than that bounded by the 28mm framelines. With the 0.85 magnifier fitted nothing effectively changes for me. The view has slight barrel distortion and, perhaps because the device pushes the eye another 6mm or so further from the viewfinder, what I see is exactly as described above but a bit smaller. The 35mm framelines are still all I can see without moving my eye. Frank
