[Leica] In memorium " a Jaylen tear rose."

Hi Ted,

This is my first post since joining the mailing list a couple of
months ago.

No word from me can possibly lessen the pain and void in your heart
from this tragedy. Still, please accept this heartfelt sympathy from
a stranger.

Our daughter is 16 month old. Last Friday, we had a most horrifying
incident, when another kid, who has to be the mellowest we have met,
bumped our daughter to ground. The back of her head hit the concrete
pavement.

Our pediatrician checked her briefly and said he thought there wasn't
any damage done. But during the conversation, he implied, even in
cases when harms are done, recourses are rather limited with surgical
removal of blood clot being the only external intervention.

Witnessing the explosion of human population, numbed by repetitive
routines, satiated by things unfold as we expect, we are numbed to
forget the fragility of a life, to appreciate that a life is a gift,
and a thriving life is extraordinary.

I shed tears for your loss and for the beauty of Jaylen's Tear Rose.
