Don't apologise for sharpness/resolution. Re the stethoscope, while I consider colour as more normal for casual fun pics of cute kids, this one just doesn't appeal as much as the BW, very likely due to the difficult lighting that you mentioned. I just don't care for how the little darling's face and hair have been rendered. I personally don't see a problem with the brightness of the stethoscope, that's how kid's stuff is. I think that the colour works much better in the second. Of course this is entirely just another viewer's opinion. As for the portrait with pink "stethoscope" (first pair) I like 'em both equally, for different reasons. My, oh my the 35/1.4 ASPH and M8 is a killer combination: <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/pklein/album170/L1000684Eye1to1.jpg.html> (1:1 crop of the above, which was taken at f/2 and ISO 320, no sharpening beyond the default in Capture One) I realize sharpness is a bourgeois concept, but 'tis nice to have sometimes. --Peter _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
