Compared to my Ricoh GRD's f2.4 lens, this means that the Sigma is about 1 1/3 stops slower. Or put in another way: if I am in a situation where I need to use the Ricoh wide open at ISO 400 (the highest usable ISO on the GRD in my opinion), I would need to set the Sigma to ISO 1000 in the same situation. So while I am sure that the Sigma's sensor is superior to the Ricoh's at the same ISO, that is not the relevant comparison for me. The Sigma at ISO 1000 would need to be superior to the Ricoh at ISO 400. I think I'll wait for some reviews...
