It didn't stop the camera working, thankfully, but there was an underexposed strip at the top of each picture, worse at fast shutter speeds. It was fixed under warranty. I got the impression from the technician that the problem was not that uncommon. Otherwise my only complaint is the obtuse menu system, the results I like.
