Harmony du Soir is a poem about a fond memory evoked by the sounds and the odours floating in the falling night air. BTW Beaudelaire was the one who translated E.A. Poe's works into French. I have indeed tried to get a little more light out of the foreground, hence the artifical look you have noticed, probably. But the shot was made hadheld with very little light availble on the roses, that's why. I'll get back to you off list end of the week as I have plans to travel south this summer (one month's work in Toulouse, then a bit of rest in the Pyren?es), and would like to spend a day or two in Barcelona before going to Cadaques. So you might give me some advice about Catalogne if you don't mind. Thanks again for viewing and commenting.
