That's nothing scientific, so I may be ruining everything I shoot, but the negs and scans work well for me. That's for web, small print and electronic contact sheet use. That said, it also much depends on the folks running the equipment. Another Eckerds less than two miles from the one I now use gave me inferior results. Relationships also affect your results. My results likely more reflect personnel than retailer. They suggested a different CD format for larger scans. They will turn off sharpening for 1600 film.
