It is a location seeped in death and despair. It's been 20 years since I've been there but nothing changes. Bloated children with rust-colored hair are the rule rather than the exception. Open ditches, filled with raw sewage, flow right through the area. It is not unusual for small children to fall in and drown in these ditches. I made two trips there in the late 80's and still can't put it out of my mind. Can you imagine? We've spent billions destroying Iraq, countless innocent lives have been lost and the place must reek of horror. Meanwhile, Haiti, a short hop from our coast, continues to wallow in filth, starvation, murder and neglect. Were I not an atheist I'd think we'd have to burn in hell for letting Haiti exist as it does. Now, aren't you sorry you asked? :'( Steve Barbour wrote: >> On May 17, 2007, at 9:28 PM, Walt Johnson wrote: >> >>> http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Walt+Johnson/baby_eye.jpg.html > > > a disconcerting image...ambiguous I think... > > where? circumstances please Walt? > > thanks, Steve > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
