Subject: [Leica] Experiences with 35/3.5 Elmar and 35/3.5 Summaron - NowSummitar

No wonder Luis's pictures with the Summitar had a "Ridings-like quality to
them. I rarely have a problem with flare as I abhor sunny days for shooting
(and try to stick to the shade instead).

I still do, on my IIIf. I go back and forth between an Elmar and a Summitar.

A recent paw was with one:

I seem to have a good sample. It doesn't flare much at all, unless I
point it straight at a strong light source.

It's pretty good, very good, wide-open, but the bokeh is probably an
acquired taste.
